In the twenty-first century, cities become increasingly three-dimensional. If we add in the time dimension, we can conceptualise cities more fully as four dimenional entities extending through time. In this online talk, drawing substantially from examples of Asian cities, Stephen Marshall explores the idea of ‘four-dimensional cities’, and consequences for how we might plan and design them.
